Definition: Link checker periodicity describes the periodic verification of object links. Takes the value integer, which refers to the approximate number of times per year that the object is subject to automated link checking. Non-zero LCP related to LCU. Element may be updated.
 persistence
Examples: An entity would run a script every month (the integer) to check the verification of persistent links (including, but not limited to, DOI, ARK, handle).

If checked every month,
LCP: 12.
If checked twice a month,
LCP: 24.
If checked biannually,
LCP: 2.

Can yo clarify a bit what does the verification of object link entails? Is it the verification of a permanent link? I am asking because we may use this metadata element for our IDS project but need more precision in the explanation. Submitted 14 April 2016
